The support we continue to receive from these folks is paramount in allowing us to continue providing the programs that we sponsor each year.
For the 2018-2019 year, our VFW provided nearly $15,700 in financial support to veterans, their families, widows and children of deceased veterans; three $1,000 scholarships; local awards to an elementary, junior high and high school Teacher of the Year; Outstanding Citizen; Outstanding Police Officer; Outstanding Fireman; Outstanding EMT; Boy Scout / Girl Scout of the Year; three Patriot’s Pen and three Voice of Democracy essay winners.
